Killarney Lake

Solar Farm

Aura Power has divested our renewable energy project Killarney Lake, located in Sudbury District, Ontario to the indigenous community, Montana First Nation.

We entered a Joint Venture partnership with the First Nations community in early 2022 and began development on the project in 2017, securing AUC Facility Approval in 2021.

The renewable energy facility includes 26.0MW of solar capacity with a 100MW battery energy storage system located on privately owned land.

Full ownership of the project now lies with Montana First Nation. Details of our transaction with Montana First Nation can be found on this page.
