Financial Controller- Bristol, UK / Remote

We have an exciting role for an experienced accountant. As Finance Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of the business’ financial position and performance. This a key role supporting the business as it delivers upon an ambitious growth plan and maintains and improves upon its control and reporting environment.

The existing finance team includes three management accountants and a ledger clerk, who will report into you. You will report into the Head of Finance and also work with the CFO and FP&A manager from time-to-time.

Salary: £55k - 60k, (FTE) depending on experience

Portugal Development Manager - Portugal, Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, and self-motivated individual to join our Portuguese team as a Development Manager. You will be responsible for completing development on an existing pipeline of projects and originating new solar PV and battery storage projects and managing them through to Ready-to-Build. This position can be fully remote and we welcome applications from qualified candidates anywhere in Portugal. You will be working with local consultants and remotely with colleagues in other time zones and countries. The Portuguese market is a key focus for Aura and the expectation is that the local team will grow with success and this opportunity therefore offers strong potential for career growth.

Grid Developer- UK, Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Grid Developer working on grid connection opportunities across a range of renewable energy projects. We are looking for someone highly organised with strong analytical and problem solving skills who wants to build a career in renewable energy. 

This will be a varied role, ideal for a team player looking to develop their skills and build a career in the renewable energy sector.Day-to-day work will include a mix of technical, analytical, problem solving and project management tasks working closely with internal colleagues to screen for/identify and assess grid connection opportunities for renewable energy projects. Applying for grid connections with the respective network operator and working with external parties such as network operators and independent connection providers to define the best technical and cost-effective connection solutions.Tracking and reporting internally on the progress of each grid connection opportunity. For the right candidate, there is potential for this role to grow and develop according to their interests and abilities. 

Salary: £30k - 50k, depending on experience

Legal Counsel - Bristol, UK & Hybrid Remote

Accelerating growth and brisk progress in de-risking our existing pipeline has created an exciting opportunity for a corporate/commercial lawyer to work with us on a diverse and interesting workload. Working with the Commercial Director, you will handle development, construction, joint venture, financing, M&A/project sales, and general commercial and contracts management work. Where necessary, you will work with our external counsel, managing their deliverables and costs.

Candidates

We are looking for a great can-do attitude and a strong desire to work in the renewable energy sector. We're looking for someone with good experience in M&A and general corporate work. You'll need solid contracts and commercial experience, confidence, and strong organisational skills, but a great fit with Aura Power is more important than most other considerations.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £65,000 - £100,000, depending on experience. We will always pay the market rate for the right person. This position can be full time or part time and is fully hybrid, working at home and/or from our Bristol office.

Development Manager (USA) - Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join our US team as a Development Manager. You will be responsible for originating new solar PV and battery storage projects across Aura Power's target markets and managing them through to Ready-to-Build. This position can be fully remote and we welcome applications from qualified candidates in any US state. You will be based in the USA and working remotely with colleagues in other time zones and countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Aura’s central site finding team and our US head of grid to direct land searches
  • Landowner outreach and land option negotiation
  • Proactive engagement with local communities to help projects progress through permitting
  • Managing local, State and Federal permitting processes
  • Managing site surveys and project design work
  • Managing project risks, schedules and budgets
  • Communicating progress with central Aura teams in Bristol
  • As appropriate, supporting project sales processes, RFPs and securing off-take
  • Keeping up to date with local, State and Federal regulations and policies affecting the renewable energy market

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience

Benefits: 401(k), health insurance, 20 days holiday plus vacation days, competitive bonus.
